Operation Overview
Operation Launch Point exists for the teams who are ready to build, learn, and grow, but need a real starting point. The first season is where programs either take off or fade out, and the difference is usually not student talent. The difference is support, tools, mentorship, structure, and guidance that helps schools and groups break through the financial barriers that often block hands on STEM opportunities for passionate students.
Launch Point helps new teams go from “we want to do SeaPerch” to “we are building an ROV, collecting data, documenting our work, and showing up with confidence.”
Why This Matters
New programs can have the most motivated students and still struggle if they do not have the right tools, supplies, and support at the start. Launch Point exists to make sure new teams get a real foundation, practical resources, and guidance that helps the program last.

Launch Point provides the essentials that allow new teams to build, troubleshoot, and learn safely.
Training And Team Readiness
Launch Point supports workshops, build days, and foundational training so teams develop strong habits early, including data collection, documentation, and engineering thinking.
Mentorship And Troubleshooting Support
Launch Point supports early access to mentorship and troubleshooting through Project JellyConnect, because new teams often hit problems that are not in a build manual.
Collaboration And Shared Learning
Launch Point supports shared learning events through Project JellyUnite, so teams can learn together, build confidence, and avoid common early mistakes.
Guidance On Breaking Financial Barriers
Launch Point supports fundraising and sponsorship guidance through Project JellyLift, including donor ready tools and outreach support, so schools and programs can build sustainable funding, not just survive one season.
